Warren Harding Blair

Warren H. Blair, 82, of 2911 Epworth Lane, Owensboro, died Saturday, May 28, 2005 at his home. He was born February 2, 1923 to the late Ulysses and Mary Roberts Blair in Breckenridge County. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a Kirby Vaccum Cleaner District Distributor and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Warren was a Mason, member of the VFW and loved to go deer hunting. He was a graduate of Oakland City University.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Thomas E. Blair, who died while serving during WW II.

Survivors include his wife of sixteen years, Grace Arflack Blair; one daughter, Barbara Ann Brooks and her husband, Tony Brooks of Hardinsburg;; three grandchildren, Anna Marie Hall, Angelia Green and Warren Blair Brooks; two great-grandchildren, Saranda Green and Noah Brooks; two step-sons, Jeff and Jerry Hillyard, both of Owensboro; one step-daughter, Cindy Hillyard Dabbs of Henderson; two step-grandchildren, Kristin Hillyard and Jonathon Heltsley; one sister, Arva Leathan of Owensboro.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, at Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be 2:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday and after 10:00 AM Wednesday at the funeral home. Masonic services will be held Tuesday evening at the funeral home and Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 696 at the graveside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church Trustees Fund, 2815 Old Hartford Road, Owensboro, KY, 42303 or the Mary Kendall Home, 193 Phillips Court, Owensboro, KY, 42303.
