Wanda Taylor, 82, of Owensboro, died Thursday, June 9, 2011 at Beaver Dam Health Care Center. Wanda was a native of Ohio County, born to the late Loney B. and Eula (Wilson) Kuykendall. She was a member of Deanefield Baptist Church, and attended services at Park Regency where she lived. Wanda was a former waitress at Gabe's Restaurant in downtown Owensboro. She liked bowling, traveling, camping and fishing, and was an excellent cook , enjoying cooking and spending time with her family.
Her husband, William "Don" Taylor preceded her in death in 1989, and a brother Charles Kuykendall.
Surviving are two sons, Steve (Vicki) Scott of Owensboro, and Kippy William (Rhonda)Scott of Fordsville, a brother, Wymond (Maxine)Kuykendall, and grandchildren, Robert (Staci) Scott, Susan (Ken) Daniel, Stephen (Shelley) Scott and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Hadley Scott, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with private burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
