Wanda Lee Rone, 88, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday June 22, 2017 at Owensboro Place Nursing Home. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ethel Garvin Johnson. Wanda was retired from G.E. where she had worked for 30 years in the Tube and Motor Divisions. She was also a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.
She enjoyed craft making, quilting, and loved to get away and travel to any destination. Wanda also loved all kinds of games including bingo and playing cards, over the years she was known to make up her own rules at times to always make sure she was winning.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra F. Rone; sister, Beulah Freels; and brothers Estill and Larry Johnson.
Wanda is survived by her daughters, Karen Sue Kirtley, Marilyn Goodsell Fausz and Toni Carie; sons, Ronald W. Rone, Steven Lee Rone, and Michael Goodsell; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be at noon Monday June 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Ray Peach officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 till 4 PM and Monday from 10 AM until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.
