Wanda Fay Turner Bittel Murphy

Wanda Fay Turner Bittel Murphy, 71, of Owensboro Place Nursing Home (formerly of 415 Dieterle Dr.) passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Owensboro Medical Health System ending her long suffering with diabetes, heart and kidney disease. Born in Daviess County on July 1, 1938, Mrs. Murphy was the daughter of the late Raymond and Inez McGrew Turner; was a homemaker; and a baptist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Murphy in 1991 and a brother Bill Turner.

She is survived by children, Edward "Speedy" Bittel, Mary Morris, Tony Bittel Sr., and Lynn Bittel all of Owensboro; grandchildren, Marilyn Bittel, Tony Bittel, Jr., Ashley Morris and Joshua Morris; 5 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Randall Turner of Murfreesboro, TN.

Services are 12 noon, Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Peace Chapel in Rosehill Cemetery with Rev. Mike Blankenship officiating followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-11:45 a.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
