Mrs. Wanda Sue Varble Fulenwider, 59, of 2301 West Parrish Ave., Owensboro, died Tuesday, April 13, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was born January 31, 1945, to the late Curtis and Paralee Murphy Varble, in Henderson County. She was a Baptist, she owned and managed restaurants, pizza parlors and arcades. She owned an art gallery and taught art and crafts classes and was a certified truck driver and a realtor.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Frank Varble, and one sister, Levetha Sallee.
Survivors include her husband of 28 years, George Fulenwider of Owensboro, one son, Frank Sebree, of Owensboro, two step-sons, Alex and Karl Fulenwider, both of California; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Ryan Sebree; three great-grandchildren, Alexis and Courtney Keesler, and Torence Martin; one sister, Bessie Mae Hardy of Henderson; five nephews, Morris, Leslie, Curtis Varble, Gary Hardy and Eddie Sallee; four nieces, including her best friend, Debbie Fitzgerrel of Reed, also Gail Brooks, Charlotte Boyd and Lisa Potts.
Services will be 1:00 PM Friday, April 16, 2004, at Glenn Funeral Home. Visitation will be 3:00 until 8:00 PM Thursday, and after 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Aplastic Anemia & MDS International Foundation, Inc., PO Box 613, Annapolis, MD, 21404.
