Walter Grey Johnson

Walter Grey Johnson, 79, of Hillcrest Nursing Home, died there Sunday, March 14, 2004. Mr. Johnson was born in Daviess County, Kentucky the son of the later William Thomas and Lora Anne Payne Johnson. He was a retired farmer, an Army Veteran and a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. His wife, Lois Sue Johnson, preceded him in death on Feb. 14, 1996. A daughter, Janie Belle Johnson preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 1983.

Survivors include a daughter, Peggy Riley of Lewisport; two sons, Tommy Johnson and Larry Johnson, both of Owensboro; two sisters Stella Mae Petrie and Brownie Alford, both of Owensboro; eight grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at St. Pius X Catholic Church with burial in St William Cemetery in Knottsville. Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home.
