Wallace R. Drury

Wallace R. Drury, 82, of Owensboro passed away on Saturday March 3, 2012 at his daughter's home surrounded by his loving family.
Wallace was born on February 16, 1930 the son of the late Eurgle and Emoline May Drewry, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Cecelia Drury on October 6, 1997, one brother, and one sister.
Wallace was a retired carpenter, he worked for the Lanham Bros. Construction, he loved riding horses, square dancing, watching NASCAR races, and most of all he loved his animals.
Wallace is survived by four daughters; Darla Rhodes and her husband David, Robbin Shively and her husband Mark both of Philpot, and Cindy Medkiff and her husband Tim, Patricia Adkinson both of Owensboro three sons, A.J. Boyle and his wife Mary Lee of Fair Dealings, MO., Roger Boyle and his wife Gaye, James L. Drury and his wife Edna all of Owensboro, one brother, Narl Drury of Owensboro and one sister, Rachel of Pennsylvania, eighteen grandchildren and twenty six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Church with Rev. John Morse officiating with burial to follow in the St. Williams Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday March 6, 2012 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory and from 9:00 AM until service time on Wednesday at the church.
Memorial donations can be made to the Daviess County Animal Shelter envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
