Viva Faye Moore

Mrs. Viva Faye Moore, 84, of 2920 Yale Place, Owensboro, died Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at her residence. She was born February 8, 1920, to the late James Ira and Myrtle Frances Beers Moore in Wirt, OK. Viva worked at J.J. Newberry and Woolco until her retirement. She was a member of Third Baptist Church, enjoyed cooking, and she cooked at Kentucky Wesleyan Snack Bar, and was Past President of the Hospitility Club at the Roosevelt House.

She was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Wayne Moore, who died in 1953.

Survivors include one son, Terry Moore and his wife, Gaynelle, of Castle Rock, CO; one daughter, Duane Bivins, and her husband, John, of Owensboro; six grandchildren, Derek Bivins and his wife, Carol, Crystal Howell, and her husband, Jim, Rodney Bivins, Robin Merritt, and her husband, Scott, Tammy Glass, and her husband, Steve, Kim Moore; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Elbye Moore of OK; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, at Glenn Funeral Home, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery in Henderson , with graveside services at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Drive, Owensboro, KY, 42301.
