Virginia Sublett Wilson

Virginia Sublett Wilson, 85, of Owensboro, passed away August 1, 2017. Born in Owensboro on April 5, 1932 to the late Malcom Heavrin and Sally Osborne Sublett and was the youngest of 10 children. Virginia loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She lead an active life and enjoyed walking, antiquing, and refinishing furniture.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Dale Wilson; all 9 of her siblings: Hazel Louise Sublett, Clarence Ellis Sublett, James Lee Sublett, Malcom Wendell "Windy" Sublett, Mary Marguerite Sublett, John William Sublett, Robert Bernard "Cotton" Sublett, Malcolm Heavrin "Dooney" Sublett, Jr., and Mary Anne Sublett.

She is survived by her sons, Dale Lee (Kathy) Wilson, Kirk "Monk" Wilson, and Steve Wilson and her daughters, Teri Bray (Jeff Graves), and Sandra (Doug) Briody. She had 5 grandchildren: Steven Dale (Summer) Wilson, Lynsie (Robert) Williams, Lynley Bray, Robert Cotton Fulkerson, and Caroline Sublett Briody, and 6 great-grandchildren: Jude, Nolie and George Wilson, and Emmie Kate, Wilson, and Finley Williams. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews including Carol Sue Walker, with whom she had a special relationship.

The family would like to thank the staff of Golden Living Center - Woodlands for taking great care of our Mom.
