Virginia Pauline Pruden

Virginia Pauline Pruden, 85, of 1825 Cullen Ave., Owensboro, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at her home. She was born March 30, 1924 in Daviess Co. to the late John S. and Myrtle Bryant Smith. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening, working in her yard, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John R. Pruden on February 7, 2006, and her brothers, John D. Smith and Clarence Smith.

Surviving are her daughter, Connie Jo Bennett and husband Michael of Evansville, IN, four grandchildren, Jonathan R. Bennett, Bethany J. Bennett, Christopher M. Bennett, and Nicholas A. Bennett, a great grandchild, Tyler R. Bennett, four sisters, Lena Massie Simmons of Masonville, Catherine Thompson of St. Louis, Anna Mae Smith of Owensboro, and Thelma Skaggs of Reed, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, June 19 at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
