Virginia P. Moseley, 91, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015. Born in Wilmore, KY, a daughter of the late Walker Brown Poor and Katherine Elizabeth Singleton Poor. Mrs. Moseley was a graduate of Danville High School and Centre College. She was a member of First Baptist Church and its Service Sunday school class, had been a member of the Junior Woman's Club and the Woman's Club and had served as a substitute teacher with the Owensboro Public Schools. Her personal interests included avidly following all sports, reading, and playing bridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Katherine Gentry.
Mrs. Moseley is survived by her husband, Marvin M. "Mark" Moseley; her children and their spouses Mark and Therese Moseley of Lexington and David and Anne Moseley and Amy and Wayne Lewis, all of Owensboro; her grandchildren Nathan Moseley, Zachary Moseley, Addie Moseley, Sarah Azevedo and her husband Billy, Emma Richardson and her husband Todd, Brown Lewis, Susan Moseley and Jay Postlewaite and his wife Sherry; her great-grandchildren Lindsay Postlewaite, Carter Postlewaite, Ashley Moseley, Walker Azevedo and Rhodes Richardson; and her brother William B. Poor.
The funeral service for Mrs. Moseley, officiated by Rev. Paul Strahan and Rev. Clarence Nemitz, will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where visitation will be from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. Sunday and after 12:00 noon Monday. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to First Baptist Church or the Daviess County Public Library.
