Virginia Frances Oldham Miller, 96, of Owensboro passed away Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born January 12, 1912, Mrs. Miller was the daughter of the late Lewis and Maude (Rowland) Oldham; was an 80 year member of Central Presbyterian Church; retired from the Owensboro Daviess County Hospital where she was a ward clerk; and was a graduate of Daviess County High School and Western Kentucky State Teacher's College. She enjoyed sewing, taking care of roses, quilting, working jigsaw puzzles, reading, crossword puzzles, and watching UK basketball. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Edwin Miller in 1984; and brothers and sisters, John (and Nancy) Oldham, Russell (and Louvenia) Oldham, and Elizabeth (and Johnny) Hale.
Mrs. Miller is survived by daughters, Sandy (and John) Roberts, and Francy Miller of Owensboro, and Mary Jo (and Charlie) Patterson of Clarksville, TN; grandchildren, Jason (and Mallory) Roberts of Hartford, Ryan (and Allison) Roberts of Lexington, Gavin (and Molly) Roberts of Owensboro, Gretchen Roberts and her fiance' David Stokes of Calhoun, Charlsie (and Bailey) Martin of Clarksville, TN.; step-grandchildren, Shelby (and Jim) Keating of Smyrna, TN and Penny (and Patrick) Shrum of Smyrna, TN.; 8 great-grandchildren with two more due in just a few weeks; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are 2 P.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Norvell officiating followed by burial in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3-6 P.M. on Sunday and after noon on Monday.
