Virginia Burks Knott

Virginia Mickey Knott of 2136 Griffith Avenue, Owensboro, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Owensboro Medical Health System. She was the daughter of the late Charles Houston Burks and Willie Reid Benton Burks of Utica. She was a member of Settle Memorial United Methodist Church and the Mary Lou Phillips Sunday School Class. She was a loving mother and homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Martin E. Knott; two daughters, Doris Ann Oelze and Carol Maglinger, both of Owensboro; four grandchildren, Denise Oelze, Diann Young, Jennifer Maglinger, and Benton Maglinger, and one great grandchild, Bradley Young.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Kosair Childrens Hospital in Louisville.
