Virginia W. Haley, 97, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, February 20, 2016, in the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky, having spent up until the last days of her life in her home with the devoted care of her family. Virginia was born November 11, 1918 to the late Samuel Harmon and Martha Lynn Whitescarver in Taylortown, KY. Virginia was a graduate of Rochester High School. Following graduation, she moved to Owensboro with her sisters and worked at Ken-Rad and later as a licensed beautician. She was a stay-at-home mom to her six children for many years. Anderson's where she was integral to their Gift Ware and Art Needlework departments.
