Virginia Catherine OBryan Hagan

June 14, 1919 — September 6, 2014

Virginia Catherine O'Bryan Hagan, 95, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Signature Health Care at Hillcrest. Born June 14, 1919 in Stanley, she was the daughter of the late Martin Thomas and Effie Mitchell O'Bryan; was a homemaker; and a member of St Pius Catholic Church. Mrs. Hagan enjoyed quilting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Kenneth Hagan in 1997; a granddaughter, Robin Hagan; a great-granddaughter, Madalyn Harl; a daughter-in-law, Rosemary Galloway Hagan; a son-in-law, George William (Bill) Early; brothers, Robert P. O'Bryan, J. Henry O'Bryan, Joseph O'Bryan, Paul O'Bryan and Martin T. O'Bryan; and a sister, Mary Jane Yates.

Surviving are children, Phillip (Josie) Hagan, James (Janet) Hagan, Paul Hagan, and Tony (Debbie) Hagan all of Owensboro; Rosemary (Michael) Smith of Utica; and David (Ginny) Hagan of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Pius Catholic Church with entombment following in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday and after 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory where prayers will be said at 6 p.m. on Monday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the St. Pius X Building Fund.
