Virginia Faye Cook

Virginia Faye Welch Cook, 51, of 7347 Lamplite Circle, Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at her home. She was born in Henderson Co., Ky. to the late Roy and Augzetta Fulkerson Welch. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and had worked for the former McPherson Furniture Store for 10 years. She was a graduate of Owensboro Senior High School. She loved doing things and spending a lot of time with her husband Allen and daughter Melanie and going fishing and having a good time. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Sharon Cox in 1999 and Elizabeth Hardison in 2004.

Surviving is her husband, Allen Dean Cook of 12 years, her daughter, Melanie Cook, at home, a stepson, Kenny Cook of Owensboro, four step grandchildren, four brothers, Joseph Welch, David Welch, and Robert Welch, all of Owensboro, and Tommy Welch of Ohio, and her mother-in-law, Inez Cook of Owensboro.

Services will be 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 18, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
