Virgie E. Stearman, 87, of Gallatin, TN, formerly of Owensboro, died Saturday, October 28, 2006, at the Sumner Regional Center in Gallatin. She was born November 18, 1918 to the late Ernest and Elizabeth Pate Carnal in Hopkins County. She was a member of the Oakley General Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Preston Stearman in August of 1947.
Survivors include her sons, Jackie Stearman an his wife, Beverly of Gallatin, TN, Ralph Stearman and his wife, Patty of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Karin Burns, Brent, Christopher and Shannon Stearman; one great-grandchild, Ethan Burns.
Services will be 1:00 PM Monday, at Glenn Funeral Home with graveside services at 3:00 PM Monday, at Oddfellows Cemetery in Madisonville, KY. Visitation will be 6:00 until 8:00 PM Sunday and after 11:00 AM Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 333 Guthrie St., Ste 207, Louisville, KY 40202.
