Virgie Icevene Leonard

Virgie Icevene Pyron Leonard, 95, of 418 Reid Rd, died Wednesday, February 5, 2003 at her home. The Hamilton, AL native was a homemaker and member of The Church of God. She loved traveling, and attending church and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary.. She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, James Thomas Leonard , in 1996 and two daughters, Syble Leonard in 1927 and Lois Virginia Dybas in 2002.

Survivors include two sons, James Samuel Leonard of Harrison, AR and David Lee Leonard of Hollister, MO; two daughters, Lillie Mae Nye of Ridgedale, MO and Sarah Elizabeth English of Owensboro; 22 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great grandchildren and one great-great-great- grandchild, and nephews and nieces.

Funeral services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 pm Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Hospice Association, 723 Harvard Dr., Owensboro, KY 42301.
