Violet Edith Love

Violet Edith Love, 84, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 15, 2008, peacefully, with her family at her side. Violet was born on February 13, 1924 in St. Elmo, Ill. She was a member of First General Baptist Church for 57 years and served as a Sunday School teacher and was the founder of the Violet Love Guild. She was the owner/operator of Violet Love Daycare Center for 25 years. Her favorite pastimes were traveling, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, Ky. Wesleyan basketball, and gardening.

She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Fred B. Love, daughters, Carol Chapman and husband Ken and Phyllis Henderson and husband Larry, grandchildren, Steve Wahler and wife Tami, Alan Chapman and Amy Chapman Schneider and husband Brad, four great grandchildren, A. J. Chapman, Brandon Wahler, Ashley Wahler, and Corbin Schneider, and two sisters and three brothers.

Services will be held Thursday, March 20, at 1:00 P.M. at the First General Baptist Church. Entombment will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be at Glenn Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 19 from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Visitation will continue on Thursday after 12 Noon till time of service at First General Baptist Church.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to First General Baptist Church Building Fund, 620 Maple St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
