Vincent E. Miller

Vincent E. Miller, 75, of Owensboro, died on July, 24, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born on February 19, 1939 in Brooklyn. NY to the late Edward and Virginia Gray Miller.

Vincent was a member of The Salvation Army Church for 43 years where he served as a Sunday School teacher and was involved in the Men's Club. He retired from the Messenger Inquirer after more than 25 years as a pressman. In his early years he worked on barges and towboats on the river. Vincent was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Miller; two daughters, Daphne Miller (Stacy Smith) of Knoxville, TN and Kristin Brack of Owensboro; one granddaughter, Kamryn Brack; a sister, Judith Coleman of NY.; sister in laws, Martha Jones of Nashville, TN and Kay Bramschreiber (R.D.) of Owensboro; a brother in law, Allen Tanner (Betty) of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 26 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Entombment will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Saturday after 12 Noon.
