Vickie R. Johnson

Vickie R. Johnson, 69, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born March 25, 1956 in Daviess County to the late James T. and Mary Walker Johnson. Vickie was of the Christian faith and had worked as a secretary for Bruening Bearings for 30 years. She loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and was a person that never met a stranger. Vickie was also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Johnson in 1960.

Vickie lived a life of love for God and family. She will be remembered and missed. Vickie picked up her cross and followed Christ as best as she could with a repentant heart for at the end of her life, she knew real death is not the death of her body but the death of the soul.

Surviving are two brothers, Scott Johnson (Sabrina) and Todd Johnson (Rose), all of Owensboro; nieces and nephews, Tiffany Coombs of Owensboro, Nicholas Johnson of Owensboro, Thomas Johnson of Knottsville, and Walker Johnson of Alexandria, KY; and several great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Monday, October 27, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from Noon until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home.
