Vernie Daugherty

Mr. Vernie Daugherty, Sr., 63, of 625 Time Dr, Owensboro, died Wednesday, June 13 at his home. The Breckenridge County native was retired from Watkins Nursery and was of the Baptist Faith.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Mary Beatrice Pierce Daugherty; two son, Vernie Daugherty, Jr. and Stephen Daugherty both of Owensboro; two daughters, Beatrice Smith of Philpot and Melissa Daugherty of Owensboro; nine grandchildren; and a half-brother, Lester Veach of Beech Grove.

Funeral services are 1 P.M., Friday, June 15 at the Christ Chapel in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with burial in the Owensboro Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at Glenn Funeral Home from 10:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M., Friday, June 15.
