Vernal Pyle

Vernal Pyle, 86, of Owensboro passed away Monday, March 1, 2010 at her home. Born in Oaktown, IN on July 17, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Arnold and Alice Hall Shelton. She was retired from S.W. Anderson Department Store, and was a member of the Panther Express. She had been a member of Owensboro Christian Church, and the Bible Study Class for almost 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Lois Blann.

Surviving are her husband of 65 years, Bob Pyle; a son, Barry J. (and his wife Sharon) of Yorba Linda, CA, a daughter, Cheryl D. (and her husband Gary) Hagan of Villa Park, CA; four grandchildren, Nikki Vanderschraaf, Kelly Fisher, Kara Pyle and Adam Pyle; five great-grandchildren, Maggie and Gracie Vanderschraaf, Cole, Lexi and Ruby Fisher; and a sister-in-law, Patty Pyle of Oaktown, IN.

Services are 11:00 AM Friday, at the Owensboro Christian Church with entombment in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with visitation after 10:00 AM Friday at the church.
