Verna Mae Basham
June 9, 1910 — February 14, 2002
Verna Mae Basham, 91, of 9423 Highway 662, Maceo, died Thursday, February 14, 2002 at the Hillcrest Nursing Home in Owenbsoro. The Hancock County native was a member of the Yelvington Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, crotcheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 72 years, Wavie Clovis Basham; a son, Yewell Basham of Maceo; a daughter, Bonnie Hite of Owensboro; five grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
Services are 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16, 2002, at the Glenn Funeral Home with burial in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-8 P.M. on Friday and after 11 A.M. on Saturday.
