Tybera Wilson Cabell, 90, of 1715 Crescent Avenue, died Sunday, February 22, 2004, at Hermitage Care and Rehabilitation Center. Mrs. Cabell was born in Henderson, KY, to Charles Lafayette Wilson and Leah Overfield Wilson. She was an active member of First Baptist Church, where she served as Sunday School Superintendent and Librarian. She was a two-term president of the Owensboro Womans Club and a long time board member of the American Heart Association. She enjoyed her family, particularly her grandchildren, flowers, reading, and UK and KWC basketball. Her husband, George B. Cabell, died in 1984.
Her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen C. and Mary Barr Cabell, a granddaughter, Meredith Glenn Cabell, and a grandson, Stephen C. Cabell, Jr., all of Owensboro, survive her.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2004 at Glenn Funeral Home, where visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2004 and after 12:00 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the First Baptist Church Library.
