She was a member of the Daviess County Medical Auxiliary/Alliance since 1964 and president in 1968. Various boards include the H.L. Neblett Center, Ellis Park Foundation, and Alma Randolph Foundation, all of which serve under privileged children. Since 2005 she has been a member of the Kentucky State Legislative Ethics Commission.

Trilby loved boating, basketball, and partying with friends and family. She has been an avid fan and supporter of bluegrass music.
