Travis Wayne Swentner

Travis Wayne Swentner, 38, of Owensboro, died Thursday, July 15, 2010, as a result of a boating accident in Green River. He was born December 4, 1971, to Gary and Debbie Phelps Swentner in Dade County, FL. He was an excellent chef, and he loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and being with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Jody; his children, Katlyn Swentner and Cole Swentner, both of Butler County; a step-daughter, Keeley Maddox of Owensboro; his parents, Gary and Debbie Swentner of Owensboro, a sister, Krista Fogle and her husband, Billy of Owensboro; maternal grandparents, Roy and Reba Shaver of Bremen; paternal grandmother, Marietta Swentner of Owensboro; a nephew, Landon Fogle and a niece, Lindley Fogle, both of Owensboro; two special friends, who were like his own brothers, Kevin Brown of Stanley, and Jeff Campbell of Maceo.

Services will be 5:00 PM Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund for Katlyn and Cole Swentner, c/o Independence Bank, 2425 Frederica Street, Owensboro, KY 42301.
