Tonya Lynette Ford, 47, of Owensboro passed away Saturday, December 16 at her home. Mrs. Ford was born May 26, 1970 in Owensboro to the late John Rouse and Linda Hagan Rouse. Tonya loved her family and all people. She never met a stranger and could turn a bad day into a good one just by her friendliness and smile. She was a career server at several local restaurants, but she considered Moon-lite BBQ her home. Tonya loved shopping, traveling, and spending time on a house boat at Dale Hollow Lake. When she wanted to unwind, she would watch movies and her favorite TV shows. She and her husband, Scotty were big UK fans and attended Big Blue Madness every year.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 22 years, Scotty; daughter, Mindy Lawrence; son, Colton Ford; grandchildren, Keelin and Bentley Lawrence; mother, Linda Rouse; sister, Penny Hall and husband Mark; brothers, Mike and Brian Rouse; father and mother in-law, Jim and Barbara Belcher; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be noon Wednesday at Good Shepherd Church with Pastor Kurt Steele officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 till 8 pm at the church and Wednesday from 10 till the service. Burial will be at Owensboro Memorial Gardens at a later date.
