Tony Roberts

Tony Roberts, 65, of Philpot, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2016, at his home. He was born July 11, 1951 in Daviess Co. to the late Joseph Carl and Mary Josephine Terry Roberts. Tony was retired having been involved with farming for many years with Roberts Dairy Farm. He was of the Catholic faith and was a 1970 graduate of Trinity High School in Whitesville. He loved the outdoors, hunting, vegetable gardening, watching John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies, and taking care of his cows. Tony was always there if anyone needed help. He was also preceded in death by a son, Jonathon Roberts.

Surviving are his children, sons Jeremiah Roberts and wife Valarie of Utica and Jeff Roberts and wife Shara of Owensboro, daughters Suzan Roberts of Habit and Serena Head and husband Bryan of Evansville, eight grandchildren, Cassie Raymond, Samantha Roberts, Alexis Evans and husband Cody, Bryce Roberts, Brittany Raymond, Eli Head, Kyle Head, and Jace Roberts, a great grandchild, Payton Evans, a brother, Richard (Sherryll) Roberts, five sisters, Janet (Bernard) Schartung, Bonnie (Barry) Redfern, Brenda (John) Haynes, Nancy (Richard) Gafford, and Mary Ann Aud, and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Tony also had two lifelong friends, Robert Ammons and William Jones, Jr.

Services will be 5:00 P.M. Sunday, December 11, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
