Tommy Joseph Greenwell

Tommy Joseph Greenwell, 82, of Owensboro, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2026. He was born May 15, 1944, in Daviess County, to the late Emmett and Mary Bender Greenwell. Tommy spent many years in the family business, Greenwell-Chisolm Printing Co. He started as a young boy making deliveries for the company on his bicycle. Tommy eventually became a part owner of the business. Tommy loved cars and took impeccable care of his vehicles. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, often attending Maxon’s baseball games and eating ice cream with Kinsley. Tommy was also known to cheer for his UK basketball team, sometimes even yelling at the television. Tommy and his wife Susanne were married on June 16, 1984 and remained in Owensboro to raise their family.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ann Greenwell, and brother-in-law, Kenny Howard.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 42 years, Susanne Grenwell; Son, Brandon Greenwell (Christina); grandchildren, Maxon and Kinsley Greenwell; sister, Karen Howard; Nephew, Kevin Howard; Niece, Katie (Blake) Anderson, and their children Meyer and Maris.

The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26, at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Parish, with the visitation from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.  Burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass at St. Augustine Cemetery, Reed, KY.
