Tom O''Bryan

Tom "Festus" O'Bryan, 63, of Owensboro, passed away Saturday, February 12, 2011, at Hillcrest Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born October 14, 1947 to the late George Thomas O'Bryan, Sr. and Mary Theresa Byrne O'Bryan in Daviess County. He was a member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed riding his "gator". He had worked at the Opportunity Center and enjoyed his friendships there, and also worked at O'Bryan Farm Service.

He was preceded in death by his brother and best friend, Jim O'Bryan on February 6, 2011.

Survivors include his sisters; Nancy Hasenmueller of St. Louis, MO, Gail Leathers of Owensboro, Peggy O'Bryan of New York, NY, Patty Ijames of Owensboro, Jackie Abshier of Owensboro and Theresa Mercker of Owensboro; his brother, Jerry O'Bryan of Curdsville; his sister-in-law, Patsy O'Bryan of Owensboro; other special family members, Karen Cecil, James O'Bryan, Jr., Amy Owen, Jean Nelson, June Travers, Shan O'Bryan, and Jenny Phillips; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1:30 PM Monday at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church with burial in St. Peter Cemetery in Stanley. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday, with prayers at 7:30 PM at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Friends may call Monday at the funeral home between 11:00 AM and 1:15 PM.
