Timothy Ray Pate

Timothy R. Pate, 59, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at his home. He was born in Owensboro to the late Paul Ray Pate and Lois Jean Clark Pate. Tim graduated from Apollo High School and joined the Painters Union 156 where he was a member for forty-one years. He liked NASCAR, playing basketball, and was an avid UK fan. More than anything, he loved his children and grandchildren who were the light of his life. Tim was a selfless man and helped himself most by helping others.

Mr. Pate is preceded in death by his father, Paul Pate in May of this year and brother, Scotty Pate in 2002.

He is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Rae Pate; son, Andrew Ryan Pate and his fiancé, Ashlyn Miles and their mother; Patricia "Patty" Pate; mother, Lois Jean Clark-Pate; brother, Brian Pate all of Owensboro; five grandchildren, James "Trace" L. Smith III, Brentley Scott Pate, Wesley Owen Pate, Eden LaRae Smith, Hadley Jane Pate; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews , cousins, and close friends.

Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, November 27 at New Life Church at the corner of 4th Street and Crabtree with Pastor Todd Camp officiating. Visitation will also be Monday from 10 till 2 at the church. Interment to follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the Education Trust Fund for Tim Pate Grandchildren, c/o BB&T.
