Timothy D. Martin, 52, of Owensboro passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Born in McMinnville, TN on December 28, 1958, he was the son of the late Bill Martin, Sr. and Hope Pollard Martin and was an Occupational Therapist, OTR/L with the Owensboro Medical Health System and was licensed in Tennessee and Arizona as well as Kentucky. Very athletic, he was a member of the Tennessee Tree Toppers
Club, a cycling club in Owensboro, was a black belt in Aikido, and enjoyed swimming. He was also a powerful advocate for, and loved animals.
Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Gail Martin; his beloved poodle, Emma; a sister, Janet (Al) Wasetis of Chattanooga; a brother, Bill Martin, Jr. of Athens, TN; three nieces and one nephew; his mother and father-in-law, Mainell and Bill Trogdon of Owensboro; and a brother-in-law, Steve Sutton of Owensboro.
A celebration of Tim's life will be planned for a later date with Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory handling the arrangements. To his family and many friends, Tim would say "Live Strong."
