Tilford Thompson

Tilford Thompson, 84, of Utica went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving evening, November 26, 2015. He was born April 18, 1931 in Daviess County to the late Emmett and Clara Morris Thompson. Tilford retired from Western Kentucky Gas Co. as a service man. Earlier in life, he was a wedding photographer and Santa Claus at the mall. Tilford loved his family, all kinds of animals, UK basketball, and had a great sense of humor.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Rhetta, his two sisters, Lucille Peak and Amy Neubauer, and brother Gene Thompson.

Survivors include his son, Steve Thompson (Diana) of Pleasant Ridge; granddaughter, Kera "Beth" Hamilton; and great-granddaughter, Nadia Hamilton.

Services will be 2:00 pm. Monday, November 30, 2015 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Brother Eddie Duke will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday and 12:00 pm Monday until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky and the Panther Creek Baptist Church Building Fund.
