Thyron Gregory Roberts

Thyron Gregory Roberts, 53, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Owensboro Medical Health System. Born in Owensboro on December 31, 1958, he worked at Williamette; was of the catholic faith; and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and any other outdoor activity. He was preceded in death by his father, Lavega Roberts in 1988 and a brother, Dennis Lavega Roberts in 1976.

Surviving is his wife of 18 years, Rose Darlene Barnett Roberts; sons, Thyron G. Roberts, II (Julie Tinbarge) of Newburgh and Dennis Andrew (Manda) Roberts of Owensboro; his mother, Virginia Roberts of Owensboro; grandchildren, Tristan Cole Roberts of Newburgh and Mia Grace Roberts of Owensboro; a step-grandson, Olan Tinbarge of Newburgh; a brother, William David "Bill" (Beverly) Roberts of Lewisport; a sister, Linda Sue (James) Warren of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are 5 p.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Father Brad Whistle officiating. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
