Thresa L. McLaughlin

Thresa L. McLaughlin, 93, of Owensboro, died Sunday, October 27, 2013 at her home. She was born in Poplar Grove on April, 8, 1920 to the late Rev. James and Teena Willis Durbin. She was a long time member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Owensboro, was an avid animal lover, especially of dogs and enjoyed feeding many birds from her front porch. Thresa was family oriented and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred Paul McLaughlin, daughter Loretta McCrady and Granddaughter, Rhonda Shepherd Marlowe.
Survivors include daughters, Ava Shepherd (Ronald) and Carolyn Tichenor (Jerry), both of Owensboro; son, Dr. Paul McLaughlin (Terri) of Lexington; Grandchildren, Kimberly McCrady, Jeff McCrady, Terry Wayne Tichenor, Leigh Ann Shepherd, Christopher McLaughlin and Larissa McLaughlin (Nick); Great-Grandchildren, Samantha Tichenor, Maleah Shepherd, Sydney Tichenor, Addy Tichenor, Connor Shepherd and Joshua McCrady.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at Noon with Rev. Glenn Amerson presiding. Burial will be in Poplar Grove Cemetery in McLean County. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5 to 8PM and Wednesday after 10 AM.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the First Church of the Nazarene. Envelopes will be available at the Funeral Home.
