Thomas C. "Buddy" Turner, 77, of Owensboro, went to be with Jesus on Sunday, August 7, 2016 surrounded by the love of his family. He was born March 8, 1939 in Owensboro to the late Thomas Roy "Bud" and Velva Dean Aldridge Turner. He married the love of his life, Gloria Ann Litteral Turner who preceded him in death on July 25, 2004. Buddy was retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local #633. He had obtained his Master plumbers license. He was a member of the Owensboro Masonic Lodge #130. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Fern Stevens.
Buddy loved spending time with his family, grandchildren, and was most proud of his great grandchildren. He enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, and the natural wonders of the outdoors, U. K. basketball, picking on his guitar, and gospel and country music. He also loved to travel and had experienced so many different places.
Surviving are his three children, Thomas Glenn Turner and wife Becky and Donna Blandford and husband Jimmy Dale, all of Owensboro, and Anissa Marchand and husband Ron of Hawesville, grandchildren, Tabatha Boyken and husband Ed, Josh Blandford and wife Terra, Heather Marchand, Colton Marchand, Corey Marchand, John Michael Marchand, Junior Blandford and wife Katie, and Jennifer Aubrey and husband Phillip, great grandchildren, Lincoln, Laney, and Linley Boyken, Syrena and Emerson Blandford, Jaidann Marchand, Matthew Slater, and Jacob Willis, a brother, Randall Turner, sisters, Alice Boarman, Rebecca Phillips, Nancy Gaddis, Janice Hamilton, and Betty Jo Sosh, a sister-in-law, Kitty Howard, a brother-in-law, Paul Litteral, and a special friend and companion, Jeanne Turley of Corydon, IN.
Services will be private and burial will be in Fordsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 P.M. Tuesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Masonic services at 6:00 P.M.
