Thomas D. Shown, 62, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born in Greenville, KY to Walter and Maryetta Stinnett Shown.
Thomas most recently worked for Don Buchanan Trucking, which contracts with the postal service to transport mail. He was previously employed by Eastern Electric (formerly Westinghouse Electric).
He was preceded in death by a daughter, April Shown and his father Walter Shown.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 35 years, Shirley Wall Shown; his mother, Maryetta Shown; daughters, Alissa "Lisa" Wink of Portland, TN and Amber Hite of Owensboro; a son, Paul Jones of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Dustin Hite, Zachary Hite, Rion Jones, Haylee Wink, Lucas Wink, Zackery Jones, Kiara Hite and Colton Wink; great-grandson, Caiden Hite; a sister, Paulette Johnson (Larry) of Shepherdsville, KY; brothers, Wally Shown (Brenda) of Central City, KY and Sonny Shown (Pam) of Owensboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
