Thomas L. Mattingly

Thomas L. Mattingly, Sr., 76, of Owensboro, passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born August 23, 1938 in Breckenridge Co. to the late Charles Robert and Mary Louis Gray Mattingly. Thomas was retired from the Department of Transportation in Illinois and was of the Baptist faith. Also preceding him in death is his wife, Joan Mattingly on April 18, 2014, a brother, Harold Mattingly, and a sister, Margie Anders.

Surviving are a son, Thomas Mattingly, Jr. of Owensboro, two daughters, Anna Fuqua of Philpot and Mary Thompson of Ashland City, TN, 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, four brothers, Henry, Danny, and Charles Robert Mattingly, all of Owensboro, and Ralph Mattingly of Beaver Dam, a sister, Doranna Mattingly of Butler Co., several nieces and nephews, and close friends, Terry McCarty, Patty Wilkerson, and Sheila Kelley.

Services will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the staff at Owensboro Center and in I.C.U. at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital for the compassionate care they gave Mr. Mattingly.
