Thomas H. Lindsey Jr.

Thomas H. Lindsey Jr., 72, of Owensboro, passed away Monday, December 25, 2023, at the Heartford House while under the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. He was born April 29, 1951, in Owensboro, to the late Thomas Lindsey Sr. and Beulah Corley Lindsey. Thomas served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a generator operator. He worked as an industrial painter and owned his own paint and body shop. Thomas was a car enthusiast, he loved classic car shows, watching NASCAR, and his favorite was his 1968 Baracuda that he owned when he first met his wife, Patty. Thomas was a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church, and earlier in his life he served as the children’s church minister at Peoples Baptist Church.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Lindsey; and a sister, Sandra Monarch.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Patty Lindsey; a daughter, Jill (Keith) Taylor; two sons; Nick (Susan) Lindsey and Dustin (Amy) Lindsey; five grandchildren, Luke Main, Shane Lindsey, Ellie Marshall, Keirsten Arnold, and Ryan Taylor; five great-grandchildren; four sisters, Linda Dowdy, Joyce Drake, Tami Harrison, and Sheila Calloway; and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral service for Mr. Lindsey will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Mike Harrison officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
