Thomas Greene Furgason

Thomas Greene Furgason III MD, 73, of Owensboro died Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at his home. He was born on June 27, 1938 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Willa Wadleigh and grew up in Miami, FL and Lafayette, CA. Dr. Furgason received his degree from Oregon State University and his MD from the University of Kentucky. He was a family practitioner in Owensboro for over 20 years.

Survivors include his children, Thomas G. Furgason IV, MD and his wife Jennifer of Owensboro and Anne Debecker and her husband Phil of Milton, NY; and his grandchildren, Emery Furgason, William Debecker, Teeghan Leach and Hattie Leach.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory. Services will be private. Entombment will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
