Thomas L. Foster

Thomas L. "Tommy" Foster, 81, of 3763 Legacy Run, Owensboro, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 at Owensboro Medical Health System. He was born in Daviess Co., Ky. to the late John Robert and Lena Shoulders Foster. He was a member of Buena Vista Baptist Church and was retired as an engineer from CSX Railroad, formerly the L & N Railroad. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast, and loved U. K. basketball. He was a graduate of Daviess Co. High School where he played basketball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Foster on Sept. 27, 2000, a son, Thomas Foster, and a brother, John D. Foster.

Surviving is a daughter, Stacy Meyocks and husband Terry of Lexington, Ky., a son, Terry Foster and wife Elaine of St. Joseph, Ky., five grandchildren, Samantha and Leslie Foster of St. Joseph, Abby Castellano and husband Javier of New York, Kevin Meyocks of Plantation, Fla., and Clay Meyocks of Lexington, a great grandchild, Kayla Castellano, a sister, Bonita Duncan of Mt. Carmel, Ill., and a brother, Joe Foster, of Princeton, Ind.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, April 15, at the Glenn Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Assoc., Ky. Region, 240 Whittington Parkway, Louisville, Ky. 40222 or the American Cancer Society, 1302 Frederica St., Owensboro, Ky. 42301.
