Thomas Reed Cobb, 86, of 904 East 21st Street, Owensboro, died Monday, December 3, 2001 at his home. He was born in Muhlenberg Co., KY on April 15, 1915. His wife, Christine Cobb, preceded him in death on June 15, 2001.
Mr. Cobb retired from Murphy-Miller Co. and was a member of Breckenridge United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include a son, Rowland Korb of Lexington; two daughters, Sherry Moore of Sarasota, FL; and Rebecca Crafton of Owensboro; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Kenneth Cobb of Owensboro; and two sisters, Gladys Hardesty of Owensboro and Mildred Downs of Livermore.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 6, 2001 at Glenn Funeral Home in Owensboro, officiated by Reverend Charles Bennett. Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. His family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 05, 2001 and after 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
