Thomas Y. "Tinker" Catron

Thomas Y. "Tinker" Catron, 88, of Louisville, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Episcopal Church Home in Louisville. He was born March 27, 1930 in Daviess Co. to the late William B. and Margaret Ford Catron. Tom was retired from Big Rivers Electric and spent his life for the service of others. He served as a deacon at both Whitesville Baptist Church and Cloverport Baptist Church for many years and was always very grateful, kind, and gentle. Tom modeled his Lord and Savior by caring for his family and wife of 64 years. He enjoyed singing, listening to gospel music, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed attending First Baptist Church and participating in the Mavericks Sunday School class. Tom was also preceded in death by his wife, Ann Cambron Catron on January 31, 2014 and three brothers, Bill, Eugene, and James Catron.

Surviving are his children, Judi Taul and husband Stacy of Hardinsburg, Greg Catron and wife Dana of Louisville, and David Catron of Cloverport, six grandchildren, Colter Taul and Courtney Taul, both of Hardinsburg, Thomas Dale Catron of Hawesville, Ashley Catron of Lewisport, and Jared Catron and Blake Catron, both of Louisville, four great grandchildren, and a brother, Donnie Catron and wife Jane of Stanley.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, June 2, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with entombment following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Friday and after 9:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
