Thomas Alton "Tommy" Basham, 42, of Owensboro passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011 at his home. Born in Louisville on July 27, 1968, he attended Third Baptist Church and had worked as a roofer for Bruce's Tri-State Roofing. Tommy was a fun-loving person who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen David Basham, Sr.; grandparents, Rufus and Sally Ann Basham and Vernard Breeden; and a brother, Steven Basham.

He is survived by his mother, Karen Fimbres of Owensboro; brothers, Tim Basham, Sr. and his wife Sherri, Allen Basham, Jr., Dustin Basham and his wife Heather all of Owensboro, and Kevin Breeden of Louisville; a sister, Tonya "Molly" Bates and her husband Shane of Owensboro; a grandmother, Irmgard Breeden of Louisville; nieces and nephews, Tim Basham, Jr., Brittany Basham, Kaelyn Basham, Chance Basham, Trey Basham, Destiny Basham, Alexis Bates, Aaiden Bates, Justice Basham, Jordan Basham, Jacob Basham, James Taylor "JT" Basham, and Jazmine Basham; a great-nephew, Blaise Basham; and a special little girl, Kinsley.

Services are 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, 2011 in the chapel of Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with Dr. James Byrd officiating followed by burial in Goshen Baptist Church Cemetery in Glen Dean, KY. Visitation will be from 1-6 p.m. on Sunday and after 9 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
