Thomas Donald Aull

Thomas Donald "Don" Aull, 80, of Owensboro, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born July 2, 1934, in Daviess Co. KY to the late Edward Hugh and Effie Cecelia Payne Aull, Sr. Don was retired from K and I Toy House after 40 years of service and served on the board of directors of the National Toy House. He was a life long member of Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church and was a U. S. Navy veteran. He worked as an antique dealer with Spend-A-Buck Antiques and was an avid collector. Don helped revive the Owensboro River City Kennel Club where he served as president for several years. Don and David spent a great deal of time raising and showing Chow Chow dogs and often received "Best In Show" awards, including the top Chow Chow award in the nation. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, William E. "Bill" Aull, Edward Hugh Aull, Jr., and Ray Vincent "Pete" Aull.

Don is survived by his partner of 54 years, David S. Reynolds. Also surviving are close family members, Joy Beth McLean Emerson of Owensboro, Carolyn McLean Boarman of Owensboro, Dan Griffin McLean of San Antonio, TX, and Hannah Jill McLean Litherland of Lewisport, a sister-in-law, Mary Aull of Owensboro, nieces; Barbara (Tom) Watson of Owensboro, Rebecca (Owen) Reeves of Henderson, Belinda (Ron) Blair of Owensboro, and Judy (Richard) Brown of Owensboro, nephews; Steve (Christy) Aull, Gregory W. Aull, Robert A. Aull, Dennis R. Aull, and Thomas L. Aull, all of Owensboro, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and his beloved dogs, Andy, Amy, and Patches.

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 1, at Sts. Joseph and Paul Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, with prayers at 6:30 P.M., and from 9:00-10:15 A.M. Wednesday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
