Thomas Randall Aull

Thomas Randall Aull, Sr., 84, of Owensboro, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2015 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born January 18, 1931 in Daviess Co. to the late Aaron and Myrtle Gilmore Aull. Randall retired as Assistant Chief from the Owensboro Fire Department after 36 years of service. He was a U. S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was past Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 696 having served for 14 years, was past State Commander of the Veterans of Foreign Wars having served for one year (1971-1972) and during the same year, received the National All-American State Commander Award. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #9, AmVets Post #75, and the 40 and 8. He enjoyed Nascar and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and cooking many meals for them. He was of the Catholic faith. Randall was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gene Aull and a grandson, Blake Aull in 2000.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Wanda Head Aull, two sons, Thomas Randall "Randy" Aull, Jr. and wife Kathy of Owensboro and Daniel L. Aull and wife Frances Aileen of Owensboro, three grandchildren, Chad Aull and fianc" Beverly Morris, Stephanie Pigford and husband Ryan, and Eric Aaron Aull, all of Owensboro, seven great grandchildren, a sister, Carol Wilkerson of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 13, at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens with full military honors being provided by Fort Campbell and the V.F.W. Post #696 Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 P.M. Monday and after 8:30 A.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
