Therese Rose Roby

KnottsvilleTherese R. Roby, 54, daughter of J. B. Coomes of St. Lawrence and the late Josetta Coomes, took the Lords hand and was granted everlasting peace on Friday, January 19, 2007 at Owensboro Medical Health System. Therese was born on Sept 11, 1952 at her home in the St. Lawrence community. She was a graduate of Trinity High School, the Class of 1970. She had many odd and end jobs, but her devotion was being a homemaker and a faithful member of the St. William and St. Lawrence Parishes. Therese enjoyed reading, crocheting, music, and the country life, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She also leaves behind her loving husband of 33 years, Steve Reno Roby, four sons, Eric Roby, Ryan Roby, Aaron Roby, and Isaac Roby, two daughters, Rachel Conder and Amanda Roby, all of Knottsville, a son-in-law, Eric Conder and future daughter-in-law, Shauna Gish, three grandchildren, Alexis Roby, Skye Gilmore, and Cade Gilmore, eight siblings, Sister Marie Joseph Coomes, Mildred Casebier, Tommy Coomes, Lois Marie Duke, Bobby Coomes, Margaret Jackson, Bill Coomes, and David Coomes, and a large extended family and friends.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, January 22, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with burial following in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1:00-8:00 P.M. Sunday with prayers at 6:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday at Glenn Funeral Home.
