Theresa Jean Nies

Theresa Jean Nies, 55, of Owensboro, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Daviess County to the late Jerry Wayne and Doris Ann Wink Everly.
Theresa graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brescia University with a Bachelor in Graphic Arts. She was a talented artist who was also an avid reader and researcher of truth and spirituality. She had a strong faith in Jesus Christ. Theresa loved children and cared for her own and many others through the years.
Theresa was preceded in death by a daughter, Melissa Maglinger in 1981.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Edward Nies; sons, Wayne Maglinger, Jr. (Sunshine) and Nicholas Nies; a step-son, Andrew Nies, all of Owensboro; granddaughters, Daisy Ann and Ivy Hope Maglinger, Aubrey, Alivia and Alexandria Nies; a sister, Lisa Brode (Troy) of Sarasota, FL; brothers, Edward Everly (Sharon) of Philpot, James Everly (Teresa), Anthony Everly (Angie) and Mark Everly, all of Owensboro; nieces, Josannah Everly and Brianna Everly; nephews, Mark Stephen Everly II and Sam Brode; and a special friend and cousin, Mary Pat Abel.
The memorial service will be at 2 PM Sunday, March 5 with visitation after 12 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory.
