Theresa Lenora Carr

Theresa Lenora Carr, 72, of Owensboro, died on June 29, 2014 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born on July 14, 1941 in Charleston Missouri to the late Clinton and Hazel Howell Carr. Theresa was a member of Blessed Mother Catholic Church where she was also a member of the Arise Group. She retired as an Administrative Assistant from the Owensboro Public Schools after 30 years. Theresa enjoyed singing, playing piano, cooking, reading, and playing Canasta with her card group. She loved cats, watching her great-grandchildren, and spending time with her family.

Theresa was preceded in death by her sister Sue Raphael Carr.

Survivors include her daughters; Vicki Porter of Philpot and Sara VanWinkle (Mike) of Utica, sisters; Charlotte Ann Kamuf (Dan) of Sorgho, and Mary F. Carr of Philpot; brothers, Clinton Joseph Carr of Owensboro, Michael A. Carr (Lise) of New Hampshire, and Phillip L. Carr (Kathy) of Owensboro, 4 grandchildren, Timothy Dale Porter II (Ashley) of Louisville, Tiffany Horn (Jason), Nicholas VanWinkle, and Travis VanWinkle all of Utica; and 2 great-grandchildren, Hailey Lenora Horn of Utica, and Timothy Dale Porter III of Louisville, and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be noon, Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Blessed Mother Catholic Church with burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8PM on Tuesday July 1, 2014 at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory with prayers at 7PM. and Wednesday from 9AM until the time of service.
